Travel and Stay
By plane
We strongly suggest flying into the Sonoma County Airport (STS) in Santa Rosa, CA. The airport is about 45- 50 minutes from the town of Sonoma where our wedding weekend will be. The Sonoma County airport is brand new, and very small, which makes for a really easy fliying experience!
The Sacramento, Oakland, and San Francisco airports range from 1:30- 2 hours from Sonoma without traffic. The drive from these airports may be subject to heavy freeway traffic depending on time of the day.
By car
Generally, the drive from Portland takes us about 10-12 hours accounting for stops. If you have the time to do the drive in two days, taking Hwy 101 along the Northern California coast is incredibly beautiful, although it does add to the overall drive time. If you opt for the scenic route, we have plenty of recommendations!
Accommodations
The Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn is a 5 minute walk from the Bossios’ house where the reception and goodbye brunch will be held. There are many Airbnb’s, vacation rentals, and other wonderful hotels nearby. We recommend staying in the town of Sonoma proper, or in Glen Ellen (about 15 minutes from Sonoma).
The Bossios’ address is 192 Sierra Pl, Sonoma, CA 95476

Other California recs
‣ If you have extra time in the area, we highly recommend visiting Sebastopol, Guerneville/Russian River, Healdsburg, and the Sonoma Coast. If you make the trip up or down the coast, we suggest visiting Mendocino (Mendocino Grove for glamping), and camping in the redwoods further north (We liked Mill Creek Campground in the Del Norte Coast Redwoods State Park, approx 6 hours from Portland). Talk to us if you want more ideas for any of these places!
